The Minimum Age of Criminal Responsibility is Fine, Actually

Co-written with Kai Natividad and Raphael Mahipus. Made for APP1.

An essay on the minimum age of criminal responsibility, discussions about lowering it, and why we really should just leave it alone. I wasn't particularly a fan of academic writing, I used to believe it would restrict me too much---but, at the end of the day, it's really just another style of writing that's not difficult to stick to. Plus, you can find a way to make anything interesting. I suppose this was my prelude to research writing.

Brushwear - Where Fashion Meets Art

Co-founded by Althea Chelsey Sallave, Ma. Shanea Madla, Mary Jessa Ramoza, and Jacques Lomantas. Made for APP2.

A business plan for a potential apparel brand, Brushwear, which seeks to modify shirts to add designs to them, specified by the client. If I'm honest, I never fully understood why we had to do entrepreneurship, but when faced with the chance of running a business, learning how to properly manage certain aspects of business isn't too bad of a skill to have.

SpeakUp! Website

Co-founded by Ethan Kervie Agad, Angela Cirunay, Samantha Deboma, Julia Jeddahlyn Garcia, Daniel Matuan, and Douglas Roland Oson. Made for APP4.

A website for people struggling with mental health issues who may need assistance with their problems---whether they need to learn about their problems, or talk to people who have similar problems to them. Mental health has always been important to me, especially the mental health of others, so conceptualizing a website dedicated to helping people like that felt important for me to do.

Alimbasa Project Proposal

Co-written by Gerald Travis Angeles, Kae Aragon, Kirsten Bue and Angela Cirunay. Made for APP6.

Written to propose a project that aims to help students from grades 4 to 6 with reading, with plans to associate with DepEd for assistance. I vividly remember writing my part in this at the garden in the old campus. Planning projects like these has never been my specialty, but I've always had a knack for making the ideas more professional, or at least a better read.

APP6 Portfolio

Includes bionote, analysis paper, and reflection essay. Analysis paper written with assistance from Gerald Travis Angeles, Kae Aragon, Kirsten Bue and Angela Cirunay. Made for APP6.

Contains a couple of written tasks for APP6. Picking that specific article for the analysis paper felt right to me, since I am probably the most anti-AI person ever, especially for things like art or writing, which I hold dear. The essay, "Off-Course", was written quite soon after the massive earthquake hit Davao, and consequently damaged the MMCM school building. I wanted to pour my thoughts out somewhere, and it felt appropriate to do it here.

Reflection

These subjects were a good way to blend more common skills with the things adjacent to my strand. It also helped me learn/do things that I probably wouldn't think about doing normally---managing a business, making a website, (well...) and other tasks. I'm glad I get to broaden my knowledge and skillsets, especially when it's related to this strand and my passion for it.
